The Golan Experience
It happens to be one of the most incredible places in Israel, from major archaeological sites, to the hiking trails that range from nice casual walks geared to the whole family to extreme difficulty. Nature trails, throughout the Golan that after short distance you can find incredible surprises awaiting you, from streams to waterfalls, to pools of water just surfacing for you to enjoy.
If archaeology is what you enjoy throughout the Golan you can enjoy, Gamla, Nimrod Castle and ancient Katzrin, to name just a few,all in close proximity. Banias is one of the natural wonders of the north, and the freshwater grottos shouldn’t be missed
Skiing in winter in the Hermon Mountains and the snow covered mountain tops can be enjoyed as you drive around the Golan. In summer go to the peak for incredible views of the Golan, and on a clear day you can see Lebanon and Syria. Hike around the mountain to enjoy nature at it’s best
If the children are with you (or even if not) – take them to the Odem Forest and see the deer reserve. Katzrin has a wonderful Petting Zoo as well just a short walking distance from our suite, with a great playground and huge park for everyone to have some fun.
Within just a ½ drive from Katzrin and Raizy’s Guest Suite/House you can find many activities for all members of the family. Lake Kinneret for swimming and boating, or go rafting down the Jordon River, if you enjoy the Artist scene check out Aniam a quaint village and after your stroll, enjoy lunch or dinner your chose of 2 great restaurants. Or go towards the Galilee and just a short distance you can be in Rosh Pina or Safed.
What ever you are interested in you can find it in the Golan – and Raizy’s is a great place to see how people live in the “city” just a short distance to all.
